Dear Michelle,

I would like to tell you how pleased I am with you and your staff at Music of the Bay. I had been away from instrumenal music for more than 20 years when I made inquiries of you for private, beginner cello lessons, I had no prior experience with the cello and my interest was based, quite literally, on a dream I had more than a year ago.

I was priviledged to receive in struction from you, Jon, and now Sue. You each brought something unique to my learning expereince. Common to all of you, however is your devotion to music, joy in teaching and individualized approach to the students' needs. You are all innovative in helping the student overcome obstacles, whether it is a musical concept and the correct application, a physical limitation, or encouraging one to be more confident in one's musical ability.

I appreciate your time and talents and thank you for helping me explore this new dimension of music in my "senior years."

Music of the Bay has been a great experience for many reasons, on addition to what I originally expected. Because of the "family friendly" atmosphere, I have been able to enjoy a weekly tradition of music with my two children.

There are so many talented instructors at Music of the Bay. They have been able to accommodate all three of us taking lessons at the same time, on the same day. That also involved matching up personality types and skill sets that worked for the three of us. The flexibility in teaching styles has allowed all of us to progress at different paces, while remaining interested and excited about music through our respective instruments.

I look forward to breaking away from my usual routine, and spending time together with children through music... at Music of the Bay! It has become a highlight in my week.

Anyone thinking of taking music lessons needs to check out Music of the Bay and talk with Michelle. My daughter has been taking guitar lessons for 3 years there and she has learned so much in a short time. The shop is a great place where you can kick back and have fresh coffee when you are waiting for the lesson to be completed. Michelle cares so much about her students and all the teachers are great and highly qualified. We checked out other music shops and lessons in the area and nothing compares to the experience of Music of the Bay. You won't be disappointed.
