Lessons are offered weekdays from 2:30 to 8:00 and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
Currently, our contracted staff includes 6 Massachusetts State Certified Teachers, 3 of whom have their Master’s Degrees. Three other teachers have degrees in music, with a concentration in performance. The remaining are professional working musicians in high demand around Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts.
Music of the Bay Lessons Policy The fee for weekly half hour lessons at Music of the Bay is $80 for a 4 week month and $100 for a 5 week month working on a reservation system. Payment for monthly lessons is due before the beginning of the first lesson of the month.Much like Dance or Karate classes, your monthly fee reserves your spot with your teacher. All absences will be charged to your account. If the lesson can be rescheduled within the month, we will do so. If not, the student is liable for the charges. No exceptions will be made. We will be closed for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. In the event of a teacher absence, efforts will be made to secure a substitute or reschedule the lesson. Students are expected to attend lessons when a substitute is scheduled. In the event that a substitute teacher is not available, the lesson may be rescheduled. If neither of these options is possible, a credit will be issued for that lesson. Recitals are held twice a year. Students have the opportunity to participate in both or one. A $10.00 fee per recital is required to participate. "Music of the Bay is awesome!! All of the teachers there are so nice. Dan is a good teacher because he knows how to play guitar and he teaches me how. He teaches me from the book and he mixes in some fun riffs, too. I've learned how to play some chords and notes on the first four strings. The most fun songs I've done are "Sunshine of your Love" and "When I come Around." The shop is awesome because there's picks, guitars, drums and amps. Believe me, this place is awesome! " - Kamron S. 4th grade
